Pongy! (Commodore 64, C64)
A downloadable game
My version of Pong game written fully in Commodore 64 assembler. This game is either 1 or 2 player game and can be controlled with C64 compatible paddles or joysticks.
V1.2 Intro music has been added
V1.22 Joystick option has been added.
V1.30 Multiple angle hits and various speed added.
v1.32 One player game option added.
You can find the prg, d64 and crt files.
This game was developed in C64PRG Studio and tested on VICE and a real C64C. V1.32 was further developed with Sublime Text & Kick Assembler. Other tools were C64 Debugger, SidWizard, Timanthes, Exomizer Python programs to convert it to crt images. EasyFlash 3 and KungFu cartridges also helped me testing the crt images on the real machine.
Special thanks go to Ery for helping me debugging and forming the tables for Bresenham's line algorithm.

Game is nice, especially the V1.30 and i also like, that it can be played with paddles.
CPU-opponents with different difficulty-settings would be great too, for future versions of the game. Most of the time, you don't have a second human player on hand, i think that will be the case for many people and then, the computer would be a good opponent and the game could also be played alone.
Thanks for your nice comments. I am not an experienced programmer, so initially I did not choose to delve into something beyond my knowledge. But after writing Jump'n Crate, I think I can manage it to an extent. Cheers :)

Nice that cpu-opponents was inserted, now the game can also be played alone. What you think about new things like "special shots" for example? Every player (and also the cpu-player) could have three or five of them in every game and they could be used, for example, to make the ball faster for one shot. The player could use such a special shot, by pressing the firebutton, when hitting the ball, for example. Then the ball comes faster to the opponent, for this single shot. Something like this, could bring more variety in the classic Pong. What you think about it?
Very nice suggestions indeed :) Theoretically I'm finished with this game since it was a stepping stone for me to learn assembly language programming but your brilliant ideas won't let me leave it... I'll try to implement additional features when I'm available. This brings me to design a better menu screen etc. Many thanks :)
